Matt Huerta is Owner of Matt Huerta Consulting LLC which provides support to nonprofit leaders in housing and community development across the Bay Area and Central Coast.

Matt has over 15 years of experience developing hundreds of affordable rental and for sale homes and overseeing high impact nonprofit programming in the South Bay, Central Coast and Sacramento Valley regions. His development experience includes overseeing a pipeline of 1200 affordable multifamily and single family homes valued at over $360 Million during his tenure as the Development Director for South County Housing. Beginning in 2011, Matt served as the Executive Director of Neighborhood Housing Services Silicon Valley, a leading Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) and NeighborWorks America HomeOwnership Center before closing its doors in late 2015. Beginning in 2011, Matt served as the Executive Director of Neighborhood Housing Services Silicon Valley, a leading Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) and NeighborWorks America HomeOwnership Center before closing its doors in late 2015. For 11 months he served as the Interim Deputy Director at Rancho Cielo Youth Campus in Monterey County serving at risk youth ages 14 to 24.

Now as a Consultant, his current clients include Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County, Charities Housing based in San Jose, Community Economics based in Oakland, the National Hispanic Organization of Real Estate Associates, the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership, and Rancho Cielo Youth Campus. Matt’s key volunteer leadership roles include the City of Salinas Planning Commission (for 10 years) and serving on the Boards of the Non Profit Housing Association of Northern California and the California Coalition for Rural Housing.
